Here at Tin Roof Brewing Co. we are about each other, our community and our beer! That’s why we #GeauxLocal and we added this page, so you could see all the brilliant folks that work at wonderful brewery. Check us out below:
THE BREW CREW:
Michael is our head brew master and what we like to think of as a borderline genius. Since we’ve had Michael on board, our beers have been brewed with the exact TLC they’ve always needed. For an excellent craft brew, don’t go chasin’ waterfalls, go chasin’ Michael.
Don’t let the beer fool you. Robbie has his masters in creative writing and published a book of poetry (“The Blank Target,” if you’re searching the webs.) His favorite quote is from Frank O’Hara, “You’ll never be mentally sober.” You can find him sipping a Juke Joint IPA with his pinky up, musing about the brewery and working on small batch brews.
Our brewer Danny enjoys ice hockey and plays best at any position. Oops, that’s what she said! Coincidentally, Danny also likes watching The Office while drinking a Juke Joint IPA. He’s a diehard LSU tigers fan, enjoys long walks on the beach, and has a degree in English literature.
Dave is a true Jersey boy, but loves being in Louisiana for the fish and the food. He’s so real he’s even been a bartender on the Real World, really, true story. He’s drinkin the beer and having a career year y’all, cheers Dave.
Fritz has some mean cans, if you know what I mean. You guessed it, Fritz is the man with a plan for our cans in our canning line. His favorite can to can is the Voodoo Bengal. But we know our readers really just want to know how much cans can a canner can if a canner can, can cans?
WILLIAM & CHARLES
Our proud founders welcome you to Tin Roof Brewing Co. where we specialize in Deep South craft beer. Charles was a former banker and William a former lawyer, but together they have come up with something truly spectacular now six years running. We’re amazed these two stiffs created this amazing company we have today, but after all they were only here for the beers! Thanks for employing us all!
Often described as the most helpful man at Tin Roof, John can be seen maneuvering a forklift with the grace of a Russian ballerina. Our Director of Operations for over two years now, we’re happy to say that without John we couldn’t keep our lights on.
COREY & BEN
Corey and Ben have been our sales reps in Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and everywhere else that Tin Roof is sold for quite some time now. We could not be happier that these two drunks, um, working professionals, decided to become part of the Tin Roof team. There’s a ghastly rumor going around that they drink all the beer themselves.
Before becoming our Marketing Director and Special Events Coordinator, Malena was in advertising for car parts. Malena is currently still figuring out her favorite kind of Tin Roof but as of now it’s anytime we add flavoring to the Bayou Bengal in our Taproom. I think we can pretty much guarantee she’s much happier/hoppier with us, or she’s just really enjoying the beer.
Our resident goldilocks, Cala, is also our resident Taproom Manager. You can find her name on almost every Tin Roof project because she has experience in just about anything service and Gose with the flow, not unlike her favorite of our beers. In her free time, Cala is a kickass guitar player with vocal skills to boot as well as a zookeeper at Zoosiana. Cala believes wholeheartedly that it truly is 5 o’clock somewhere.
Emily was born and raised in the cowboy country of Northern Nevada. She’s worked just about every job imaginable, from a music magazine in New York City to a gold mine in her hometown of Elko. She’s currently working her favorite so far: pouring pints at Tin Roof and teaching freshman composition at LSU. While she’s disloyal and drinks all the Tin Roof beers with equal levels of enjoyment, she always returns to the Juke Joint IPA.
FELIXFelix is Emily’s puppy. He was born June 2016 and is a miniature Australian Shepherd. He enjoys eating leaves.
Greg is everyone’s favorite burley man. He enjoys our seasonal Smiling Ivan, was a former LSU football player and personally identifies with Braveheart. Greg can also be seen moonlight managing the sportsman’s paradise restaurant, Gouter. As a Baton Rouge local, Greg struggles with the fact he’ll never truly be able to be Lord Eddard Stark, Warden of the North, because winter is not coming to our city anytime soon.
You can probably guess that our bartender Eric is enjoying his first brewery gig by his 3,400 unique UnTapped check-ins. Eric is an avid home brewer, architect and lover of our Juke Joint IPA. Eric’s favorite quote comes from our very own bartender, Greg, “Another week, another cheese ball-less bar.” We stand by your sentiment, Eric.
Paul comes to us after spending seven months in Sydney, Australia, a few years in New Orleans, and a few more years in Alabama, but we won’t hold that last place against him. Paul refuses to pick an all time favorite Tin Roof beer, saying his current kick is the Game day IPA. We can dig it Paul, just like we can dig your curls.
Not to be confused with our other Eric, Eric S. is a man all his own. Known for his Mr. Rogers style but James Bond profile, Eric is guaranteed to make any night at our Taproom not only fun, but an experience!
