Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday we will be canceling our Friday Tours on 11/29/13. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We are excited to announce our partnership with two great Hotels in the Baton Rouge area, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn. Here are a list of specials they are currently offering.
They are celebrating all those Teachers, Police Officers, Firefighters and Nurses out there and treating them to something special. With an occupational ID, your first Tin Roof beer is on them! And since you serve our Baton Rouge community all year long, it’s our turn to serve you. They are also offering buy 1 entrée, get the 2nd entrée ½ off. Bring your co-workers in to the Sporting News Grill as we show our appreciation. http://www.holidaybaton.com/uncategorized/sporting-news-grill-restaurant-bar-specials/

As we are gearing up for construction on our new tasting room – we will not be able to host the November 15th Food Truck Friday. Have no fear Tin Roofers– we have a Wednesday Wround-Up scheduled for December 11th. As long as we do not hit any bumps in the road during the build out process we should have a great night!
On Thursday, October 24th the Tin Roof Brewing Company is teaming up with The Me & My Big Mouth Podcast and 4 locally owned bars in downtown Baton Rouge for The 3rd Street Coffee Crawl, a pub crawl to promote the release of their highly anticipated fall seasonal beer which debuted last year, the Parade Ground Coffee Porter. Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.coffeepubcrawl.eventbrite.com for $10 with all proceeds going directly to support Triumph Kitchen, a non-profit education venue from Chef Chris Wadsworth and his wife Sommer that will be located in the downtown area and serving as a training facility for at risk youth in learning culinary, hospitality and life-skills to help in building successful futures. The first 50 people to purchase tickets will also receive a free limited edition Tin Roof shirt designed exclusively for the event by Ross Marcotte of Ten Sheets and everyone will receive 4 raffle tickets, one for each bar involved, for prizes to be given away from a few local businesses. Two pairs of gift cards from Doe’s Eat Place located on Government Steet, a guitar from Music Inc. Of Louisiana located in Gonzales as well as a 2 hour party for 50 people from Tin Roof at their brewery.
The pub crawl will be from 6pm-10pm and registration will begin at 5:30 at the first stop, 3rd Street Pub. From there participants will walk across the parking lot to Red Star, located on Laurel Street and then on to Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s and finishing up at Happy’s Irish Pub, both located on 3rd Street. “We’re really excited to be hosting this event and supporting a great venue like Triumph Kitchen.” says Charles Caldwell, one of the owners of Tin Roof. “The Parade Ground Coffee Porter was very successful for us last year and there’s a lot of excitement about the release this year, especially with it being released in cans for the first time.” Charles Pierce, the mouth behind The Me & My Big Mouth Podcast is equally excited. “This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this and when I was trying to figure out who to get involved, the first two names that popped up in my head were Tin Roof and Triumph. The guys at Tin Roof and Chef Wadsworth are two of my biggest supporters and I’m happy just to be mentioned in the same circles as these guys.”
Tin Roof holds weekly tours every Friday from 5pm-7pm and the brewery is also available for hosting private functions as well. You can find The Me & My Big Mouth Podacst at www.bigmouthpodcast.com, on iTunes and you can hear their new weekly radio show every Friday on 96.9FM WHYR Baton Rouge Community Radio. You can find Triumph Kitchen online as well at www.triumphkitchen.org for more information about this exciting new venue.
This Friday, October 18th, we will be hosting our monthly Food Truck Friday at the brewery. With the weather starting to cool off this should be a great chance to visit our brewery. Doors open at 5 and taps are closed at 7pm! Hope to see you here on Friday.
Stories abound of the night-lurking, bayou- wandering creature of Cajun lore, the Rougarou, a shadow that haunts night walkers who venture into his realm. Like its namesake, this dark, malty beast of a brew will maul your palate with a vicious hop backbone, elusive roast undertones and an intense aroma. A true legend of the brewing world, Rougarou leaves no palate unshredded. Our Imperial Black Ale is like no other in Louisiana – as mysterious as it’s name. No longer will you fear the full moon, you’ll welcome it.http://www.225batonrouge.com/article/20131004/BUSINESSREPORT0112/131009872
